Insurance Supervision: Challenges and Opportunities

This expert seminar originates from a cooperation between Intersentia and Baker McKenzie Belgium.

Insurance supervision continues to be of utmost importance for the insurance industry, as well as for consumers who should benefit from enhanced protection. While Solvency II has proven to be a robust and advanced framework for prudential supervision, it imposes several challenges as well. To that end, the ongoing Solvency II review is an excellent opportunity for future improvement. In light of the looming Brexit and a complex international regulatory environment, insurers are required to be more and more aware of the global environment they are operating in. Various industry trends also tend to have an impact on the insurer's day-to-day activities.

During this seminar, several industry experts will share their views on the challenges and opportunities of insurance supervision, taking into account major European and global developments.

Verzekeringstoezicht
